I wanna be a hair dresser when i grow up :)?

im only 13, but i when i grow up i want to be a hair dresser. is there any tips or ways to start practicing now so when im older i could be good at it ?I wanna be a hair dresser when i grow up :)?
Yay good for you to have that goal already. I knew when I was even younger and was cutting and styling my dolls!


Anyway I would do some research online of any classes that may be happening in your area. I


Also you could go to your local salon and ask if you could ';shadow'; there.this means basically watch them work maybe you could help by sweeping. A lot of smaller salons like to do this.

you can just start doing other people's hair like family friends etc.


they will tell people they know and eventually you will get paid for it. that's exactly what i'm doing and i earn some money from it.i got paid $35.00 the other day.just keep practicing.%26amp; expieriment on your little sister if you have one[what i do] or a friend

You should go to a vocational school for high school.


That way you get four years of hair cutting experience, plus many other things, and you hair dressing license. That's what I'm doing too!

you can practice on dolls or even on yourself (prob not though). i like to curl my hair and do all crazy things with it! and i even cut my own bangs. you can look for techniques online =)
You can buy dolls or wigs and practice on those by straightening, dying, curling, crimping, cutting, trimming... whatever. Plus if you mess up there is no real damage done! Then once you are confident in your ability you can practice on yourself and your friends. If they don't trust you, you can show them your dolls. Another way is to sign up for a class that will teach you about everything.
