Jesus didn't have long hair. The men of his day had shorter hair. As a matter of fact as part of a Revelation prophecy it speaks of Jesus as having hair like a sheep. That means short and all wooly like. Sort of like a black man.
And no, Jesus was not a cross dresser. All the men dressed like that back then. In many Arab countries today they still wear the dress like outfit.
Long hair wasn't really appropriate for men, then...
