I wanna be a makeup artist and hair dresser help me?

ok i am 13, and i really wanna be a makeup artist or hair dress but i don't know which one, which ones better and also do i have to have good grades all though high school. and i am going to collage not university i am not that good in school thanks for your help guys :) I wanna be a makeup artist and hair dresser help me?
Great that you're starting so young to think about your future. Like any career, try and get good grades in high school. As for which one is better, which one do you like more? Do you enjoy doing hair, or do you enjoy the makeup part of it? For me, I LOVE makeup artistry, but I also have a a passion for hairstyling. So it's a mixture of both. I decided to combine the two.

you will most likely change your mind but the easiest thing is to get an apprenticeship as a hair dresser. i don't know what country you are in but in australia you go to a salon and see if they will put on a first year apprentice. its full time work as a hairdresser for 4 years to get a certificate. but you can't cut people's hair so you need to go into training again to get the certificate to cut peoples hair. in the first year or 2 of an apprenticeship it is basically cleaning and just washing people's hair. if you were still interesed in being a make up artist you could be looking for places while doing hair dressing that will train you either through an apprenticeship or at an academy. colleges and universitys here don't usually offer courses to get into hair dressing cause it's more of an on the job thing.
College and universities are the same thing. University is just many colleges together. You would want to go to cosmostology school which is a technical school. Or go to a vocational high school, they have cosmotology courses and you can get a job straight out of high school. Technical schools care more about your credit history than your grades in high school, but that doesnt mean you should goof around and not try. You're only 13, you might change your mind on what you want to do for a career. So I would say try your best in school.

I wouldn't worry about your career yet, to be honest. And to be a hair stylist you don't go to college, you go to beauty school. Just chill and have fun - I changed my mind about my career about 50 times when I was in high school.
Go to your local community college and ask if they have a Cosmetology Major or State Licensing Program. Beware of '; Vogue Beauty College, they are Famous for Cheating People out of their Money.
