Depends on your base color. If it is very dark then you have to go to a hair dresser. If it is just a shade or two darker than the color you want you could risk dying it at home with commercial hair colors and bleaches. Although, it is best to go to a hair dresser for blonde color. Trust me...I have had many an awful experience. All the money you waste trying to fix the damage could/should have been spent on just going to the salon.
you coul tint it and then use natural insticts for a more natural look and it would be always noticable every month you use the box of product
if its dyed, wash it with body soap or dish washing soap, i know this sounds weird but it will fade your dye. and you could also apply lemon juice in your hair and sit out in the sun. the sun already will lighten up your hair on its own, the lemon juice just works better and faster
