Exactly how do hair dressers get paid?

i was recently told they get a percentage of what their charges are plus your tip.


so if i was charged $150, what portion of that money would she receive plus my $40 tip.





this would be in pennsylvania, and she does not own the salon.

Im a new stylist in PA and I keep all tips %26amp; get 40% of what I bring into a salon. Time is money. So if i do More people in a day than another stylist im making alot more than her because i work faster? It reallly just depends on where she works. If it was a high end salon or a Chain Salon..Exactly how do hair dressers get paid?
